GOOD NEWS, the high school student choir from Lincoln Christian Church in Lincoln, Illinois, will be in concert at Community Christian Church, 1201 Jackson Street, Scott City, on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. - mark your calendars now! The 2023 message of GOOD NEWS is entitled Every Thing. Through a collection of worship songs, brief drama sketches, and scripture, Every Thing is a relevant message that will encourage and uplift people of all ages. The songs are great arrangements from such Christian recording artists as Anne Wilson, Matthew West, Sanctus Real, Stars Go Dim, Big Daddy Weave, Chris Tomlin, Ben Fuller, and Brandon Heath.)

GOOD NEWS consists of 26 students – 9th to 12th grades, which includes the Choir, T.R.A.S.H. – T.eens R.escued A.nd S.erving H.im, (a percussion ensemble which creates unique and amazing rhythms using found objects made of plastic and metal), and Drama Team. GOOD NEWS will be on an eight-day tour, June 6-13, 2023 with concerts in Missouri, Kansas, Texas, and Illinois. The 2023 edition of GOOD NEWS is excited to join the legacy of traveling student ensembles from Lincoln Christian Church sharing the good news of Jesus’ love in 43 states across the United States and Canada since 1971.
